We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst with a commercial and analytical mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Acting as a Finance Business Partner, the Senior Analyst will join a team that provides financial analysis and support to all of Northland’s business units. This position will be based in our Vancouver Support Centre, and will report to the Manager of Finance, Planning and Analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide decision support to stakeholders by building and maintaining financial models for scenario and sensitivity analysis, presenting the potential impact of business decisions.
  • Utilize BI tools and develop dashboards to drive business analytics and insights, that stimulates growth and improves financial performance.
  • Use data from relevant sources to develop financial reporting, analysis, and management tools that help stakeholders make informed decisions, optimize resources, and maximize profitability.
  • Implement best practices and advanced analytical tools to streamline financial analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare annual operating budgets and forecasts, continuously reviewing and enhancing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor financial results compared to prior year, budget, and forecast, conducting in-depth analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Northland’s operations, IT, and finance processes to become an effective Finance Business Partner
