POSITION OVERVIEW
Working closely with the Core Finance Manager and team, the Finance Systems NetSuite Solution Developer is responsible for ensuring that ongoing enhancement of the functionality of NetSuite (and related finance systems) is carried out with deep technical knowledge of NetSuite, and to the satisfaction of the business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: assist with the technical design of the Finance Systems ecosystem for Team.Blue (centred on the Oracle NetSuite OneWorld solution), its’ requisite SuiteApps and third-party add-ons, and its’ integration to other enterprise systems.
- Solution Development and Implementation: Take responsibility for the design, development and implementation of the various technical components in and around the Finance Systems ecosystem to ensure compatibility, inter-operability, integration and stability, as agreed with the Finance Director and Finance Service Manager.
- Solution Optimisation: Work with the Core Finance Manager and their team to optimise the Finance solutions to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency of the operations.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Finance Excellence Centre Product Owners, to ensure clear understanding of the scope and objectives for any enhancement to the system, so that developed solutions meet business goals.
- Communication and Reporting: Demonstrate the effective stability and performance of the Finance Systems Ecosystem by generating data and reports relating to uptime/availability, incidents and resolution, end to end cycle times.
Tasks:
- Solution Design: Work with business users and product owners to identify solutions to meet backlog requirements (enhancements, localisations, production issues …etc) utilising deep experience of finance systems, particularly within a Oracle NetSuite environment.
- Solution Development & Implementation: Carry out any assigned development, configuration and/or implementation activity of backlog requirements, to ensure requirements are met, whilst ensuring compatibility, inter-operability, integration and stability.
- Environment Management Support: Assist as requested to ensure that the various NetSuite Sandbox environments are effectively managed for the use of Development, Testing, Data Migration, Training and Troubleshooting, and that the Production environment is protected at all times from unauthorised or untested configuration or changes.
- Forms, Templates and Dashboards: Assist the Finance Excellence Centre team in maintaining and adapting any necessary forms, templates and Dashboards to meet their evolving Business requirements.
- Finance Systems Support Team: Provide ongoing support to the finance operations team as requested.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven NetSuite technical design and development experience (or experience with leading Finance ERPs such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Detailed knowledge of NetSuite customisation toolset (SuiteBuilder,SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, FreeMarker/HTML/CSS) or equivalent ERP tools.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining finance ERP systems within a finance operation.
- Proven experience in tackling complex technical development scenarios and working with the Business community to create acceptable solutions.
- Proven, hands-on experience in triaging and resolving live incidents in NetSuite ERP systems, including liaising with Suppliers and Partners, to provide both hot-fix and permanent solutions to them.
- Ability to work with cross-functional Business teams to optimise both discrete and end to end operations in ERP
- implementations for maximum operational performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computing / Software Development.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, and a proven team player.
