About the role
As the Finance Systems Support Analyst, you support the tools, processes, and templates used in creating and maintaining financial information in ATB’s Financial systems. You are accountable for developing and implementing document management and storage policies and standards. This role documents key financial data processes that are used in onboarding, knowledge transfer, and project hand off and can include knowledge guides, training manuals, troubleshooting guides etc.
The role will also be responsible for administering and optimizing the JIRA platform to support and manage the team’s projects, this involves managing JIRA projects, customizing workflows, dashboarding and reporting. The role will provide user support, and create documentation to ensure effective use of JIRA within the team.
The Finance Systems Support Analyst performs various routine system health checks to identify potential issues and collaborates with technical partners on root cause, resolution, and ways to mitigate recurrence. Monitoring, testing, and signoff activities may all be required to achieve this. This role tracks the incident and incident resolution data to report on common themes and resolution status.
As ATB continues to introduce new ideas to create value for our clients and increase market share and profits, Finance Systems Support Analyst is key to supporting the tools, policies, and procedures used to ensure financial transactions are captured accurately in ATB’s financial statements and knowledge is dispersed to impacted stakeholders.

Accountabilities

  • Designs and maintains standardized tools and templates that support the creation and management of Financial information.
  • Creates diagrams, instructional manuals, how-to-guides and other supporting documentation to communicate complex and technical information more easily.
  • Performs routine system health checks and identifies potential issues.
  • Using data analytics techniques, investigates and supports the resolution of system issues.
  • Develops and maintains a checklist for common technical issues.
  • Based on various metrics, offers recommendations to improve support processes.
  • Automates operational processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • JIRA Administration:
  • Manage and maintain JIRA projects, boards, and workflows.
  • Configure and customize JIRA to meet the specific needs of the team.

Skills, experience & requirements

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills to writing and communication.
  • Proficient in data analytics, curation, cleansing, and harmonization.
  • Proficient in SQL, G-Suite programs (including Google Cloud Platforms), App scripts, etc.
  • Able to translate technical language and relate it to banking and accounting concepts and vice versa.
  • Possess strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in JIRA Administration
  • Accreditations Requirements
  • Post secondary degree in a related field (ex. Business, Computer Science, Information Technology etc.)
  • Business or Systems Analysis certification is considered an asset.
