Your opportunity
The 12-month Trainee Programme in Singapore offers you the opportunity to be based in our APAC Accounting Department, rotating through the various teams covering our legal entities in the APAC region. Through the programme, you will learn about the Investment Management industry and gain a holistic view of our business at Janus Henderson. You will receive a mix of ‘on the job’ and formal training to develop your skills and gain valuable experience with the possibility of being recruited into a full-time position upon completion of the programme.
The successful candidate will go through the following rotations:
- Accounts Payables/Receivables (2 months)
- Financial Control – Australia (4 months)
- Financial Control – Singapore (3 months)
- Financial Control – Rest of Asia (mainly Hong Kong & Japan, 2 months)
- Business Finance – APAC (1 month)
Through the rotations, the trainee will help to support the following activities:
- AP/AR activities, including expense postings, bank account monitoring, invoice processing etc.
- Financial reporting, including month-end closing, board reporting, regulatory filings etc.
- Taxation matters, including GST (SG) filing, BAS (AU) filings, Fringe Benefits Tax, corporate income taxes etc.
- Audit activities, including working with auditors on audit queries, preparation of financial statements etc.
- Other financial control activities, including ledger maintenance, posting of journal entries, financial variance analysis etc.
- Business finance reporting by providing meaningful data, ensuring that entries are posted appropriately.
- Finance Transformation Project (Details below)
- Any other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned.
