The Trainee Accountant will provide support to the finance department in all areas of management and financial reporting, with an emphasis on the production of the weekly and aspects of the monthly management accounts. They will support the finance team in the quarter-end hard close, forecasting and budgeting processes, the weekly, periodic and monthly reporting requirements and with the timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Production of weekly management accounts to strict timelines
• Production of aspects of the periodic management accounts
• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports to support the wider business
• Maintaining accurate records of customer rebates
• Supplier income invoicing and tracker maintenance
• Production of reports to support customer information needs
• Maintaining accurate reporting of stock adjustments
• Support the forecast and budget process
• Support during audits (both statutory and internal audits)
• Support the hard close process and completion of balance sheet reconciliations
• Any other reports/information as requested by the Finance Manager to support the finance team/wider business
