SKILLS SET & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Application of Accounting standards, understanding, interpretation and its’ application
  • Ability to evaluate financial reports, possess analytical skill and attention to details
  • Good computer literacy in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Intermediate and or advance Excel skill essential
  • Critical thinking with problem solving ability, with continuous improvement mindset
  • Business or Commerce Degree in Accounting
  • CA or CPA Status (at minimum studying towards)
  • A minimum of 5 Years accounting experience
  • Application of statutory reporting requirements, AIFRS and its interpretation
  • Practical use of SAP system is desirable

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Due to an internal promotion we are now seeking an experienced accountant to join our Corporate Finance team - based at our offices in the Perth CBD.
Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager, this role will be involved in all aspects of financial reporting for the corporate division, including the accurate completion of monthly financial accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
A critical component of the role is the completion of monthly reporting for subsidiaries and its financial analysis, ensuring best practice Group Financial Control policies, procedures and processes are implemented and adhered to.
The preparation of annual financial reports for the Group and its subsidiaries is also a key aspect of the corporate finance team deliverables, this role will be supporting this activity. A strong understanding and the application of current accounting standards is therefore critical.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to play an important role in streamlining and improving existing models and reporting processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform monthly group financial consolidation for CBH Group; assist with preparation of Group Financial Reporting pack
  • Business partnering with the Corporate Services business unit stakeholders
  • End of month accounting and financial reporting for subsidiaries
  • Budgeting and Forecasting preparation and reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of the Annual Financial Report for the CBH Group and support the external audit process
