  • Good solid ledger experiences up to Trial Balance level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Payroll is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Due to current and planned business growth within Designer Group Electrical Contractors Limited in Ireland, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our successful team.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting into the Financial Controller, the primary role is to support the Financial Controller in ensuring that all deadlines are met and that the team is supporting the business as efficiently as possible.

  • Input financial information into the group consolidation package to support the preparation of management packs.
  • Monthly general ledger postings.
  • Responsible for reviewing all bank reconciliations.
  • Monthly supplier reconciliation reviews.
  • Monthly group intercompany reconciliations.
  • Manage lease and fixed asset register.
  • Monthly balance sheet workings and review.
  • Monthly overheads review & reporting.
  • Review monthly and annual PAYE and RCT Tax returns.
  • Prepare & file VAT returns & other overseas tax returns.
  • Responsible for CSO returns.
  • Cover for payroll & expenses management.
  • Cover for payroll cost allocations using the Time Management System.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with the month-end report process to ensure strict deadlines are met.
  • Assist the preparation of monthly/quarterly group reporting packs.
  • Support with the preparation of the annual audit file.
  • Supporting various projects to improve business performance.
