FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Ecocem is shaping the future of low carbon cement with ambitions to deliver a 50% cut in CO2 emissions from cement by 2030. We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our team working with Ecocem Ireland & UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious newly qualified accountant to gain broad exposure to all aspects of the finance department of a leading Irish based global company.

As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for monitoring all financial data, preparing accurate statements, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Your role will encompass budgeting, managing tax payments, performing internal audits, and providing consultancy to senior managers for cost and revenue analyses. By meticulously managing our financial records and supporting investment decisions, you will play a vital role in our company’s success. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified Accountant with post-qualification experience in industry a strong advantage
- Strong financial accounting and reporting experience desirable
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of ERP systems desirable but not essential
Responsibilities:
- Timely production of Monthly management accounts including all associated reporting in line with company deadlines
- Preparation of Annual budgets and Monthly forecasts
- Ensure all company tax and statutory returns are completed and submitted on time
- Collaborates with other Group finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
- Monthly reconciliation of intercompany accounts and all balance sheet accounts
- Prepare ad-hoc tasks / reports for management as and when required
- Post supplier invoices and obtain prior sign off from department heads
- Monthly system payment run, setup and process
- Month end creditor reconciliation
- Field supplier queries and requests for payment
- Monthly Debtor statement runs
- Manage debtor’s days to agreed limits
- Liaising with clients and query resolution
- Production reporting support with plant manager
