Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are a fast growing business and this person will be the first Financial Accountant on the ground in EMEA, and part of building the growth and trajectory of this function. This position will play a vital role in advising and influencing stakeholders of all levels globally, reporting at month end on the UK business and providing commentary back to the senior leadership team. This position will be key in ensuring good relationships with our suppliers and making sure we are making sound decisions on value and runway of stock.
The successful candidate will have experience working with inventory or stock, ideally from a retail, e-commerce or FMCG background. Along with the ability to remain detail orientated within a high growth, fast paced environment, solving complex problems and recommending solutions with sound judgement.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Managing a portfolio of EMEA entities for management reporting and local compliance reporting
  • Manage monthly regional close activities and present month-end results to management
  • Initiate, lead and manage inventory process improvement projects within our ERP system NetSuite
  • Support the UK statutory audit process, liaising with our external auditors for testing and completion activities
  • Communicate and manage local EMEA payment requirements with our shared services team
  • Support the global finance team in design, testing and roll-out of finance systems/tools/processes
