Description:

The Role
We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant within the support services function joining our team of experienced, motivated, and high performing finance professionals. The Financial Accountant will be required to support the UK&I Financial Controller in the preparation, analysis, and reporting of the financial and operational performance of the UK&I region. The Financial Accountant will support the continuous drive for business growth and identify opportunities for improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
  • Preparation of reconciliations (balance sheet, intercompany, sales & wages etc..)
  • Preparation of periodic VAT returns
  • Assisting with Corporation Tax compliance matters
  • Providing support to the Group Statutory audit
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process for the region
  • Drafting of individual financial statements using Caseware software
  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships across the business
  • Assist with the monitoring and reporting on key initiatives/projects in the region
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as required by the business to support the organisation’s needs

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or relevant experience in a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Good technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent Excel Knowledge
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to excellence
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven capability in problem solving and data manipulation
  • Ability to show initiative and drive process improvements
  • Experience working with Microsoft F&O an advantage
