Position Summary
Oxford , a leading global platform for real estate investment, development and management, are looking for a highly motivated financial accountant with strong financial accounting and analytical skills to join our team in London.
Responsibilities
Financial and management reporting for a portfolio of UK commercial real estate investments including timely and accurate recording of monthly results obtained from third party property managers
Month /quarter end review and reporting, consisting of: (i) preparation of reporting packages (including corporate level journal entries) (ii) preparation and coding of bank reconciliations, (iii) preparation of quarterly management accounts and asset management reports
Preparation of audited and unaudited financial statements for certain legal entities (UK and Jersey registered entities applying IFRS) and coordination of year-end audits
Preparation of quarterly variance analysis files to assist the consolidation of all regions at the global level
Assisting in operational support comprising of accounts payable and processing payments as required
Participation in projects with a focus on continuous improvement and making recommendations for efficiencies in day-to-day responsibilities; and
Ensure compliance with Oxford’s processes and controls.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
A total of 2 years of experience, with experience in Real Estate (preferred) and/or a professional services firm;
Education: University degree and has obtained a professional qualification (ACCA/CPA);
A strong understanding of IFRS accounting principles
Experience with JD Edwards and Hyperion Financial Management is preferred;
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, have proven financial analytical skills with attention to detail;
Have experience working with international organizations in a multi-currency environment;
A proven track record of thriving in organizations that constantly evolve and adapt;
A strong willingness to embrace collaborative sharing of knowledge within a teamwork environment, as well as a drive to deliver the highest performance through creative thinking.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills (English);
