Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Join our dynamic team delivering essential finance services to APLNG, covering financial and management accounting and reporting. This role focuses on providing the APLNG Consolidated Group position to APLNG and its shareholders, requiring coordination with Upstream and Downstream Operators and other service providers. You’ll support robust financial results by ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable information, offering technical accounting advice, maintaining internal controls, recommending system enhancements, and adhering to accounting processes and policies.
MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Coordinate and assist in preparing half-year and full-year consolidated and subsidiary financial statements, maintaining statutory reporting files, preparing consolidation reconciliations and workpapers, and conducting analytical reviews.
- Provide support and insights on monthly management reporting to APLNG and Origin, including preparing, reviewing, and posting consolidation journals, reviewing trial balances before ledger close, ensuring accuracy of financial records, delivering balance sheet reconciliations, and providing supplementary monthly reports for shareholder reporting.
- Assess new accounting standards and their impact on APLNG.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with the APLNG Corporate Office Management team, Origin Upstream APLNG operator, Origin Corporate, and ConocoPhillips Downstream APLNG operator.
- Assist in preparing and delivering governmental body reporting (ABS) and ensuring compliance within the internal control framework.
