You will be working alongside a team of hardworking individuals, responsible for providing accurate and timely management information to support the business in decision making The role has an interesting balance of management and financial accounting/reporting.
We are looking for a fully qualified accountant from a top/mid-tier accounting firm, who is naturally inquisitive and has the ability to manage large volumes of data, quickly and accurately. The Financial Accountant will lead the annual audit process acting as a key point of contact for audit queries and ensuring all information provided to the auditors is robust.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS:

  • Someone who is hands-on, and keen to understand underlying processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience of accounting for leases under IFRS16/ASC842
  • Experience of using/auditing a recognised accounting software (we use Access Dimensions) and experience of using a Statutory account reporting software (we currently use Accurri
  • Experience of auditing the hospitality/retail/consumer sectors (multi-site clients)
  • Confident Microsoft Excel user i.e. pivot tables, v lookups, ‘if’ functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep senior management informed of statutory / technical reporting updates.
  • Completion of year-end tax packs for our external tax advisors.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support with monthly restaurant-level reviews, including variance analysis & opportunities for improvement.
  • Overseeing and understanding the process for posting and reconciling weekly revenue for the restaurants and providing cover for the fixed assets and cash accountant when required.
  • Ownership of all revenue/takings related balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Fixed Assets process improvement
  • Support with production of the monthly reporting pack (balance sheet, cashflow) and providing in depth analysis of quarterly balance sheet movements to the parent US team.
