The Record to Report Direction of EDP GBS is looking to recruit for the Operational Accounting NA area.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, or a related field;
  • Between 3 and 5 years of progressively responsible related experience;
  • CPA license (or equivalent) preferred;
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel;
  • Some knowledge of SAP preferred;
  • Resistance to stress, high communication skills;
  • Creative spirit and self-initiative;
  • Fluent in English.

Responsibilities:

  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions for operational and under- construction projects in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
  • Analyze relevant contracts to ensure proper accounting treatment;
  • Prepare reconciliations to properly support account balances;
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analyses;
  • Develop reports for financial and managerial reporting, forecasting, trending, and results analysis;
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions;
  • Assist with preparation of documents for annual audits;
  • Recommend improvements in policies and procedures;
  • Collaborate with internal clients, including Project Controls, Finance, and Tax;
  • Mentor Project Accounting Analyst, sharing best practices and contributing to their professional development;
  • Additional duties as required.
