Description:
You’ll lead a small team that seeks to provide a high level of service to fellow colleagues, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders, ensuring that all statutory obligations are met.
You will ensure that clear accountabilities for the management of manufacturing fixed costs are in place across the business and that there is regular reporting, support and challenge in regard to the optimisation of these costs relative to the required provision of goods and services.

Responsibilities:
SOME OF YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You’ll ensure the provision, to Scott Bader South Africa Finance entities monthly financial results (P & L, Balance Sheet, capital monitoring, working capital performance & cashflow).
- You will provide the group finance teams with key and relevant financial performance information to allow meaningful assessment and challenge of the company performance.
- You’ll support the financial controller with the implementation of improved accounting processes.
- You will ensure the daily/weekly/monthly accounting systems operate effectively and efficiently.You’ll be our go to expert on relevant accounting developments around costing and variance reporting and ensure that key business stakeholders are kept informed of all key changes and their application within the countries of responsibility.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?
- You hold a recognised formal accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
- You’ll have previous experience within a financial accounting department, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- You have local experience of leading a financial team.
- You’ve working knowledge of ERP systems and can utilise other software such as excel in the creation of financial reports.You are a accuracy first individual with a keen eye for detail.
