THE ROLE:

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking, progressive Aged Care organisation in our Finance Team, working alongside our Chief Financial Officer, and other members of our Business Enabling Team.
This exciting role as a Financial Accountant has become available within the Business Enabling team and provides a genuine opportunity to be involved at both a site and corporate level and to make a valuable contribution to our dynamic team.
This role is a business-critical position and will contribute to the control and administration of general accounting activities for St Basil’s. In addition, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, committed to building a culture of continuous improvement in the workplace.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will work in a supportive environment covering various areas of Finance. The role can be based at any of our three sites across South Australia (Christie Downs, Croydon Park and / or St Peters), and flexible working arrangement opportunities are available for the successful candidate.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Cash flow management
• Preparation and Lodgement of BAS and management of the ATO Portal
• Data Analysis, Forecasting and Reporting of relevant organisational data / budgets as required
• Asset management and Works in Progress reporting
• Month end financial reporting and analysis, including month end processing, reconciliations, balance sheet and CAPEX
• Ensuring compliance with Prudential standards in the management of resident accommodation payments and refunds, as well as with statutory law and financial regulations by ensuring appropriate internal audit controls are implemented and maintained

IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF YOU HAD (BUT IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO APPLY FOR THE ROLE):

• Chartered Accountant or CPA qualification
• Experience in Procurement – so you can support our Leaders through negotiations, financial analysis of tenders etc.
