Description:

We’re on the hunt for a Financial Accountant Superstar to join a thriving Finance team based at a Head Office in Liverpool. This is your chance to step into a rewarding, permanent role with a company that’s as forward-thinking as it is financially savvy.
If you’re newly qualified (or nearly there) with a passion for numbers and a knack for navigating tax reporting, statutory accounts, and everything in between, keep reading! This role is all about being the financial backbone of a successful business-and having a little fun along the way.
LOCATION: Liverpool
WORKING HOURS: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (evenings are all yours).
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent (they’re keeping you around for the long haul).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or part-qualified and ready to smash it).
  • Hands-on experience with statutory accounts.
  • Office-based experience
  • Clear, confident communication skills (because not everything is Excel).
  • Auditing experience-keeping calm under external scrutiny is a must.
  • Self-motivation and a can-do attitude (we LOVE this!).

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • A full, clean driving license (freedom to move those accounts!).
  • Data analysis experience-it’s a plus if you know how to paint a story with numbers.
  • Knowledge of Payroll and Treasury.

Responsibilities:

You’ll be wearing many hats, but your key missions include:

  • Account Alchemist: Producing company statutory accounts (UK GAAP/FRS 102 experts, step forward).
  • Balance Sheet Buff: Reconciling transactions and making sure those pesky numbers add up.
  • VAT Virtuoso: Handling VAT returns like a pro and managing the duty deferment account.
  • Audit Ally: Working closely with auditors and keeping things smooth during year-end.
  • Reporting Rock star: Delivering data for internal use, government surveys, and KPI tracking.
  • Cash flow Commander: Assisting with forecasting and making sure we’re always ahead of the curve.
  • Treasury Tactician: Supporting bank transfers and currency payments-sterling and foreign alike.

You’ll also help with leave cover, collaborate with the Management Accountant, and keep the financial engine humming.
