EDUCATION:
Preferred Education: in University / College education or Finance
EXPERIENCE (EMEAA):
ACA/ACCA qualified, ideal for industry move from practice.
Proven team leadership ability, along with excellent presentation and communication skills, including the confidence to work at all levels across the organisation.
Practical experience and a good understanding of journal entry, balance sheet reconciliation, as well as a genuine grasp of knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX requirements.
High levels of self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, backed by a “can do and will do” attitude and a forward-thinking outlook, especially in relation to continuous improvement and business transformation.
Excellent IT skills with advanced Excel (basic formulas, pivots tables, “if” statements, lookups as a minimum) and finance system expertise.
Ability to coach and develop others.
Research into emerging/complex accounting or reporting issues.
Responsibilities:
As the Financial Accountant you will be a key member of our Head Office based finance team, responsible for the timely and accurate month-end execution of the month end close process spanning all UK & IE locations.
This role will focus on the monthly closing and reporting of books and records, related account reconciliations, cost accruals, analysis of financial statement variances, whilst ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SOX and Stericycle accounting policies.
