We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Accountant to lead and develop our financial accounting team. This role provides guidance and advice to enhance the Finance function while contributing to the development of best practices across Three Blue Ducks.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Three Blue Ducks is a growing company that emphasises career progression and development. As our Financial Accountant, you will oversee the financial health of all five of our venues, providing accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and robust support to drive business decisions. Based in our Rosebery Head Office, this is a hands-on role that connects directly with venue teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations across the board.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare precise financial statements and manage the month-end procedures
- Oversee the preparation and review of Profit and Loss statements to evaluate venue performance.
- Update and monitor cashflow reports to ensure accurate forecasting and financial stability.
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring compliance with awards, taxes, and superannuation.
- Prepare and lodge statutory reporting such as BAS, PAYG and payroll tax in compliance with regulations.
- Handle invoices, manage vendor payments, and prepare accounts payable reports.
- Ensure the balance sheet is accurate and up-to-date through regular review and reconciliations.
- Prepare budget and forecast
- Streamline financial processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support audits, financial analysis, and other ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.
- Address and resolve accounts-related queries across all venues.
