Description:
We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to provide a comprehensive and professional financial accounting services to our organisation. Key duties will include; • Ensure the integrity of the financial accounts; • Produce financial reports for internal and external stakeholder; • Prepare final accounts and manage cash and oversight of financial ledger integrity. • Implement audit recommendations. • Line management responsibility for members of staff who support the post holder; • Prepare statutory group and Subsidiaries annual accounts and cffr regulatory models.
- Act as the lead contact point during the Annual Accounts audit and co-ordinate the production of high quality working papers and ensure timely responses to queries raised; • Support the preparation of the financial statements , the Annual Reporting Manual and the organisation’s accounting policies and procedures; • Produce monthly trial balances & balance sheets and review all supporting control code reconciliations to ensure accuracy of the accounts at each reporting cycle; • Provide timely and accurate financial advice to finance and non financial managers regarding highly complex financial matters.; • Maintain fixed asset, compile and submit vat returns In return you will receive the following benefits: • 30 days leave • Local Government Pension • Discounted on site Hair and Beauty facilities • Free Eye test and contribution towards glasses for VDU users • Enhanced sick pay and family (subject to policy terms) • Free breakfast on campus (Term time only) • Free On-site parking (subject to space/permits • Wellbeing and health support • Cycle to work scheme • Flu Jabs Under the Health & Safety etc. at Work Act 1974 it is the responsibility of individual employees at every level to take care of their own health and safety at work and that of others who may be affected by their acts at work.
