Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As a Financial & Accounting Manager, you will join our team in the TCS Letterkenny Global Delivery Centre. Your primary responsibility will be managing a Finance & Accounting team in addition to performing GL Administration activities/Tier 1 support for incident management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal/external auditors for periodic and year-end review procedures for local statutory audits on core activities that TCS are performing.
  • Communicate internally with TCS (Ops/IT) and report to JVCo Head of Finance Management/Finance & Accounting manager on day-to-day operational issues, SLA performance, exceptions etc.
  • Review and analyse ledger Journal Entries including Insurance and Banking entries, supporting files and other GL accounting activity as part of month end close process.
  • Review, analyse and daily deliver the suite of reconciliations including Bank and Control Account reconciliations and premium/claims/commissions reconciliations at month end. Initiate process for follow up on open items.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work activities of assigned employees. Support the coordination and execution of the consolidation and closing of the books.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards. Ensure robust operation of financial and reporting controls to safeguard the integrity of reporting data across all bases.
  • Enhance the existing processes and development of new ones to ensure the most efficient completion of duties.
  • Develop process documentation that includes Standard Operating procedures and other Quality manuals as and when required.
  • Oversee the invoice processing and accounts payable procedures. Oversee the cash management function for policyholder bank accounts including liquidity monitoring and ensuring transfers are completed.
  • Own responsibility for assigned accounting workflows/processes within the financial close process.
  • Act as Tier 1 support between the Company’s IT Service Desk and the Company’s Managed Service provider for MSD365. This will involve triaging incidents and resolving or escalating to the managed service provider if a resolution isn’t possible.
  • Act as GL Administrator for 2 legal entities.
  • Process the financial accounting transactions into the general ledger, including collecting, recording, verifying, and reconciling financial data.

In a GL Administration Capacity (indicative but not restricted to):

  • Own responsibility for managing user groups (adding and removing users) and access to workflows (Roles, Signing limits, Organisational hierarchies) etc.
  • Own responsibility for maintenance of master data groups including suppliers, receivables, vendors, banks, posting rules, VAT codes, nominal account codes etc.
