DESCRIPTION

Vancouver Company is seeking a Financial Advisor Assistant - Mutual Funds to join their team.
This is full time, permanent role based fully in office.
Location: Downtown Vancouver
Salary: ranging from $55-65K + Benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all general administrative duties – handling calls and emails, processing and preparing documents, data entry, filing, reporting
  • Execute mutual fund trades with a high level of speed and accuracy
  • Ensure all mutual fund trade revisions are processed accurately and on time
  • Monitor and troubleshoot mutual fund orders in a timely manner
  • Process commission and trailer fees
  • Ensures the timely distribution of monthly reports
  • Should be well-organized and be comfortable scheduling meetings and responding to emails on the executive’s behalf
  • Should be able to draft documents and help the executive with any necessary meeting preparations
  • Mange the CRM (Client Relationship Management) system and keep detailed notes of activities.
  • Keeping important information and documents organized physically, and electronically
  • Maintaining the highest degree of discretion and confidentiality
  • Client facing activities that sometimes require asking personal questions.
  • Special Project Assistance as required
  • Maintaining inventory and functionality of office supplies

Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience within financial services
  • Experience working with Mutual Funds and GIC’s
  • Mutual Fund Licensed
  • Experience in managing and processing mutual funds
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field an asset
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course or other investment-related courses is an asset
  • Experience in a client facing role with client interaction
  • Polished and professional demeanor
  • Warm personality, comfortable dealing with clients in person and over the phone
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong critical thinker, solution focused
  • Self-starter, works will on own initiative
  • Good computer skills – will be using MS Office Suite, Adobe Pdf Editor, Multiple databases
  • Must be detail oriented
