JOB DESCRIPTION

The Financial Consultant analyzes and communicates financial results for key products, markets and initiatives, develops compelling story lines to help deepen client insights and recommends creative actions to guide strategy and operations. This role formulates financial projections to support in predicting and tracking performance and diagnosing potential issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, timely reports with financial insight to allow business partners to improve performance.
  • Innovate and Collaborate
  • Work collaboratively within the team and across the department
  • Implementing, reporting, and communicating the impact of business and accounting related initiatives on assigned processes and financial statements.
  • Preparing analytical schedules, analyzing variances, and providing analytical support based on individual review and internal customer requests.
  • Preparing quarterly/annual statutory and/or GAAP financial statements and schedules/exhibits
  • Preparing and analyzing account reconciliations, including for complex accounting processes Monthly close and related processing and development and preparation of analysis (e.g. account analysis, preparation of journal entries)
  • Isolate key drivers, quantify impacts, and forecast implications to the business recognizing how different data points fit together.
  • Consult with leadership to understand business implications of current trends.
  • Innovate and collaborate with wider team, US and NI based.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements related to all assignments.
  • Develop and lead presentations for small groups.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • All candidates must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy
  • Accountancy/Finance related degree with at least 3 years plus experience in a Finance/Accountancy role,
  • Previous experience in an analytical role
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Office Suite with strong Excel formula experience (pivot tables, v-lookups etc.).
  • Familiar with Microsoft Word, PowerBI and PowerPoint
  • Good knowledge of control environments and SOX
