The Finance and Administration branch is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Financial Analyst will play a key role in providing accurate and timely reporting and reconciliations related to revenue and expenditure management and forecasting, resource allocation and planning issues for the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Responsibilities:
The Finance and Administration branch is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, the Financial Analyst will play a key role in providing accurate and timely reporting and reconciliations related to revenue and expenditure management and forecasting, resource allocation and planning issues for the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO DO IN THIS ROLE?In this role, the successful candidate will:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, materials and decks for the proactive identification and resolution of issues and overall improvement of financial controllership.
- Prepare schedules and disclosures for financial statements and other management reports.
- Administer and maintain integrity of AGCO accounts, including the preparation of journals to ensure proper fiscal control and cash flow.
- Perform a variety of in-depth financial analyses to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Oversee financial data in the financial system (e.g., Oracle), reconciles accounts, analyze spending patterns and financial data; summarize and prepare financial reports as requested.
- Provide accurate and reliable financial information, analysis and advice in relation to controllership business planning and budget management.
- Provide supporting analysis or documents for the purposes of internal and external audits.
- Assist with the preparation of account reconciliations for period-ends.
- Perform a variety of in-depth financial analyses to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Provide support to the accounting, control and administrative functions of the Controllership branch, and continuous improvement of all business processes; Liaise with internal and external partners and stakeholders
