Location:

  • Bento Head Office - 25 Sims Crescent, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 1K9 (Sims Crescent and East Beaver Creek Rd) - This is a hybrid role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • No experience required! newly graduate from University are welcome to apply with Bachelor of Commerce major in Accounting or Bachelor of Accounting or Bachelor of Science major in Mathematics.
  • Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Suite i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Technical IT skills required - be able to write simple scripts in SQL or Python, Power BI and macro.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for providing finance support in the areas of sales and profitability and ensuring all finance related analytics are captured correctly and efficiently into the system.

  • Automate the reporting by using power BI or writing scripts in SQL.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting such as shrink reports and customer P&L.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and/ or concern and provide recommendations.
  • Prepare weekly variance analysis including sales and GP reporting with a high degree of accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Manage and review general accounting journal entries.
  • Ensure that general accounting journal entries are accurately recorded in accordance to company deadlines and accounting processes.
  • Communicate with field operations to accurately process onsite and retail inventory.
  • Support the annual budget and forecasting initiatives.
  • Other tasks that will be assigned on ad hoc basis.
