Financial Analyst
Position Description
The Financial Analyst plays an important role as part of the corporate team and is responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis for a designated group of clients. The analyst has exposure to multiple business units and work closely with other corporate and operational teams to support decision-making by assembling, interpreting, analyzing, and reconciling financial data.
- This position is located in our Burlington, MA; Denver, CO; or Fairfax, FA office, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity and reliability of the financial and operating results for both reporting and forecasting purposes
- Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly forecast for assigned client groups
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Deliver accurate, insightful and timely analysis of financial results against plans, forecast and budget
- Participate in the design, development and implementation of performance management tools
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve accuracy and drive efficiency
- Complete ad hoc reports/analysis as necessary
- Manage multiple deadlines demonstrating the ability to prioritize and a high level attention to detail
- Gather and verify financial information with a proactive attitude
- Participate in other projects as necessary
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting or Business/Economics plus 2-5 years of experience. In addition:
- Experience working with industry software such as PeopleSoft, Hyperion (Oracle) would be considered valuable assets
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial information, both structured and unstructured
- Accounting Designation (CPA) completed or in progress - preference will be given to candidates who have completed their CPA designation
- Advanced skills with MS Office tools including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent in verbal, written and communication skills in English and French
- Action oriented, proactive with high level of accountability for delivering quality work
