WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for:

EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (database functions, pivot tables, confidence with large databases, designing reports quickly and accurately)
  • Financial accounting software and reporting tools (PDI and Longview reporting tools will be used, experience in similar software an advantage)
  • Intermediate level of accounting knowledge (Fixed assets, lease accounting, fuel accounting)
  • Organization knowledge (various organizational levels, accounting systems), and business knowledge (product offering, key factors of success at the retail unit level, pricing, margin calculations).
  • Positive helpful attitude and determination to make a difference
  • A firm grasp of analytical tools is required, and development of new tools as they come along.

Responsibilities:

Excited to embark on a journey with us? Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities in this role:

  • Prepare financial and non-financial reports on a weekly and period basis.
  • Assist in preparation of the annual business plan, including uploading to PDI and Longview
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly analysis for corporate
  • Assist in producing financial analyses as need by Directors of Operations and Dir. Business Planning
  • Weekly gas reporting on volume and margin, working with Laval fuel accounting to improve same.
  • Prepare internal and external capital reports, for Statistics Canada, and corporate accounting
