customer-focused service while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst will support the financial operations of Custodia by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, processing contractor payments, assisting with customer billing, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is essential to ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with accounting standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) or working towards one.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly contractor invoices, including commission calculations and material reimbursements.
  • Manage customer billing, including subscription payments for Home Management Plans (HMP) and seasonal packages.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Support the onboarding of new customers from acquired customer lists.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including HST submissions.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes.
