customer-focused service while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join our team.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst will support the financial operations of Custodia by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, processing contractor payments, assisting with customer billing, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is essential to ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance with accounting standards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) or working towards one.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (experience with QuickBooks is a plus).
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly contractor invoices, including commission calculations and material reimbursements.
- Manage customer billing, including subscription payments for Home Management Plans (HMP) and seasonal packages.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Support the onboarding of new customers from acquired customer lists.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including HST submissions.
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes.
