As a part of the Division of Fin anc e , Fin anc e for Operations is an employee-centric organization that provides accounting services in partnership with our stakeholders. By promoting high standards of efficiency, integrity, innovation, and customer satisfaction, we ensure fin anc ial compliance and accountability to Texas A&M University and its constituents. Fin anc e for Operations provides quality services that enable the institution to track and monitor fiscal operations. Our goal is to assist in developing and maintaining quality accounting records and processes. In conjunction with various TAMU departments and external customers, we strive to provide superior customer service.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

Position Details: Face-to-face and person-to-person interactions are required and maintains a regular work schedule and work extended hours during peak processing times.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial reporting, data management, business process improvement or related.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • FAMIS, Aggie Buy, Concur, TAMU disbursement policies and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time, constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment.
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.,
  • Occasionally lifts and/or moves light weight objects, travels from building to building.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with TAMU disbursement of funds policies and procedures experience with Sage.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to remain stationary for long periods of time, constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., occasionally lifts and/or moves light weight objects, travels from building to building.
