Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a Financial Analyst III to join us. In this role, you will contribute to the commercial success of our Biosciences Division within the Life Sciences Solution Group. You will provide oversight and support to our global sales teams, playing a vital role in planning, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and closing exercises. With your strong analytical skills and proficiency in tools like PowerBI, you will help craft the future of our business areas and drive profitability and customer satisfaction. This position offers high-visibility impact on our diverse customers, providing you with valuable regional and global experiences and opportunities for professional growth.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of relevant working experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Proven experience in commercial FP&A.
- Strong financial acuity, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey analysis and recommendations concisely.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Oracle, HFM/CMR, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) preferred.
- Data management experience with large datasets and accurate reporting.
- Organized multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a dedication to getting the job done.
- Champion of continuous improvement and process optimization.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Less than 5% domestic and international travel required.
Responsibilities:
- Drive monthly and quarterly business reviews, as well as annual operating plans, through tactical objectives.
- Apply advanced data analytics techniques to develop and design spreadsheets, manipulate data, and uncover trends using functions, formulas, and graphs.
- Assess risk and internal controls by analyzing and benchmarking historical patterns.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis, including variance analysis and root cause data interpretation, to support management decisions.
- Provide finance support and business partnership to senior Marketing leadership.
- Contribute to projects and initiatives aimed at improving execution.
