Legend Biotech is seeking a Financial Analyst as part of the Finance team based in Ghent.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in finance, business management or accounting.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, and experience performing financial modeling, forecasting and budget related activities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrixed, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.
  • Strength in communicating and working independently and effectively with broad stakeholders in various scientific/technical/business disciplines.
  • Ability to objectively evaluate options/trade-offs and develop management-level recommendations.
  • Proficient influencing capabilities with an ability to interact and communicate effectively with leadership and across multiple functions.
  • Process-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Financial Analyst will be a key contributor in the reporting, forecasting, and budgeting cycles for the Ghent manufacturing plants. This individual will be responsible for partnering with the business to build robust financial models and keep detailed assumptions pertaining to planning cycles and project analysis. This role will work closely with all functional areas within Technical Operations, Quality, Procurement, Planning and Admin Functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide financial analysis to the Finance Manager to achieve long term financial objectives including providing support for business decisions requiring a financial/business assessment.
  • Generate plant management reporting and commentary on key financial performance metrics around inventory, cost of goods sold, revenue, and capital.
  • Develop, implement, and refine financial models and KPI’s for annual forecasting and budgeting for the Ghent plants.
  • Lead business case development for capital investments and cost improvement projects at the plant
  • Support internal and external audit requests for substantive and analytical testing, periodic audits, and control walkthroughs.
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and analysis of financial reporting in accordance with IAS.
  • Ensure uncompromising integrity, transparent and timely internal controls, and financial compliance process.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close cycles for the Ghent plants as needed.
  • Support maintenance of risk control matrices (RCMs), process narratives and flows related to inventory and revenue accounting.
  • Contributes to supply chain finance team by reporting and educating team on financial status/initiatives.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications.
  • Ensure adherence of internal controls around inventory and revenue to ensure compliance with IAS.
