As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and models, as well as conducting financial analysis and providing recommendations to support business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Extract, mine, and analyze financial data from multiple sources
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual executive dashboards and reports visualizing key trends
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes and conduct variance analysis
  • Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate the impact of various business initiatives and strategies
  • Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities to senior management and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support business objectives and projects
  • Conduct research and benchmarking on industry trends and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
  • Use AI tooling to build predictive models for cash flow, revenue, profits, etc.
  • Use AI tooling to detect possible mistakes such as unbilled work, dual entries for payments, delinquencies, etc.
  • Work with various business units and profit centers to help them with modelling, business analysis and reporting so they can better run their businesses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or auditing
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) or working towards one is an asset
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working with SAP is an asset
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
