POSITION SUMMARY:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate Under the supervision of the Manager of Research Billing Compliance (RBC), the Financial Analyst (Research Billing Compliance) will be responsible for monitoring billing activities at NYULH to help ensure research billing compliance is effective and identifying any incorrect hospital and professional billing instances and guiding the research community to be research billing compliant.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To qualify you must have a BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business. 5+ years financial experience in construction industry. Solid experience working with financial statements and general ledger; and proven ability to create concise reports based upon specifications requested by management. Customer service and communication skills. Advanced Excel proficiency. Advanced database skills (i.e., Access). Strong analytic and mathematical skills. Financial analysis and reporting skills. Organizational skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure. Accounts payable and overall basic accounting skills (i.e., journal entries, working with G/L, budgeting). Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) proficiency.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $68,900.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Responsibilities:

esponsible for the billing of all hospital research charges in accordance to coverage analysis, protocol and billing grid, as well as, appending appropriate research coding to the claims as needed.
Works and communicates closely with the research community on issues relates to the research billing compliance workflows
Liases with the Hospital Billing teams to reconcile issues with research billing and facilitate processing
Monitors research work queues to ensure hospital charges meet timely filing and revenue cycle guidelines.
Observes and reports any issues related to hospital billing and research billing compliance to management for review
Maintains detailed understanding of the clinical research systems, specifically the Clinical Research Management System (CRMS) and Epic.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and understanding of clinical trial procedures and billing policies
Provides support to Reesarch Billing Compliance program as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
