Description:

FINANCIAL ANALYST

Here at Osborne, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Analyst to join our clients growing team and play a vital role in driving profitability and strategic growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this position will focus on gathering, analyzing, and presenting key financial insights that inform decision-making and enhance business performance.
This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday position offering a competitive salary based on experience.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience, ideally within construction, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex data analysis.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to challenge assumptions.
  • Solution-focused mindset with a strong work ethic.
  • Proven ability to review and improve processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and oversight of annual budgets, strategic plans, and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics, including project costs, revenue, profitability, and cash flow, to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses, with actionable recommendations.
  • Track and analyze KPIs across projects and company performance, delivering variance analyses against budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with project managers and department heads to provide financial insights and support for ongoing projects.
  • Support tendering and business development by evaluating financial risks and opportunities in potential projects.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning, investment analysis, and scenario forecasting.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and process improvements.
  • Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies for construction and operational projects.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Assist with audits by providing accurate financial data and documentation.
