DESCRIPTION

The Financial Analyst will play a vital role in our property acquisition, financial planning, and analysis processes for both multi-family and commercial institutional-grade properties. This position will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial research, developing comprehensive financial models, analyzing investment opportunities, and providing insightful recommendations to senior management. This team member must possess exceptional analytical skills, excel at distilling information, and demonstrate expertise in creating both high-level back-of-the-envelope analyses as well as detailed financial models. This role involves close collaboration with our executive management team and property management experts. The team member should thrive in an entrepreneurial, highly collaborative, and fast-paced environment. The role also requires the ability to assist in developing investment memoranda, conducting in-depth market research, and performing property-level due diligence.

  • Computer proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft Office and financial modeling products
  • Knowledge of Yardi or MRI as well as RedIQ, Argus or similar software preferred
  • Ability to learn and retain knowledge of operating software system
  • Strong math aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Conduct in-depth research, analyze complex data, and translate findings into actionable insights
  • Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
  • Driving is an essential function of the job
  • English must be used when communicating with a client or coworker. Another language may be used if preferred by both parties.
  • Knowledge and practice of Company standard operating procedures and related policies, procedures and laws
  • Familiarity with portfolio and financial management concepts

EDUCATION (LEVEL AND TYPE)

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field preferred

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum number of years: At least 3-5 years of related experience in real estate financial analysis, modeling, underwriting or asset management preferred
