Description:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in the Financial Services industry, located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role primarily involves developing financial models, analyzing company performance, and assisting with strategies to improve profitability. This role offers an exciting opportunity in a dynamic workplace environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop financial models and analytical tools for both internal and external audiences
  • Analyze and summarize consolidated company performance for the senior leadership team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by analyzing and forecasting the organization’s performance
  • Assist the finance team and leadership team in developing and implementing strategies to generate revenue, reduce costs, and improve profitability
  • Provide financial analysis and expertise to certain functions and business support teams as required
  • Offer financial advice and counsel on select company and business unit operating initiatives
  • Use skills in Financial Analysis, Budgeting - Forecasting, and Ad Hoc Analysis to drive results and make strategic recommendations.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role within the financial services industry
  • Proficiency in financial analysis is essential for this position
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting is required
  • The ability to conduct ad hoc analysis is a must
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite is needed
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and standards is preferred.
