Description:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst in New York, New York. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the financial services industry. The role involves processing customer applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving customer inquiries. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support decision making
  • Use Accounting Software Systems and CRM to manage and process financial data
  • Perform month-end close activities: reporting, and reconciliation
  • Utilize Excel and SAP for data management and reporting
  • Work with Crystal Reports for data visualization and reporting
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial data
  • Participate in budget processes and capital management activities
  • Leverage knowledge of accrual accounting to maintain financial records
  • Handle various accounting functions as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure cohesive operations
  • Demonstrable proficiency with Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Familiarity with a wide range of Accounting Functions
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accrual Accounting principles
  • Previous experience in Auditing
  • Proficiency in Budget Processes
  • Experience in Capital Management activities
  • Proficiency in using SAP software
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Excellent analytical and statistical skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate effectively with other departments
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make well-judged decisions
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work output
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of the financial industry’s compliance standards and regulations.
