What is the job role?
Working as part of the Adult Services Business Systems and Improvement team the successful candidate will lead and manage the Financial Assessments Team to undertake, process and monitor Financial Assessments, helping Coventry Adult Social Care services to deliver the best outcomes for people. You will work flexibly to manage an everchanging and varied workload within a demanding environment and directly contribute to the budgetary management of Adult Social Care to maximise the use of resources.
You will have a solid understanding of and be an advocate for the principles of diversity and inclusion in relation to workplace culture and service delivery.
You will ensure correct and consistent application of regulations and policies are adhered to and ensure that all relevant standards, procedures and quality management systems are operated by all staff within the Financial Assessments Team and across the Adult Social Care workforce.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering the best services for adults living in Coventry, working in partnership with a range of teams and organisations in the spirit our One Coventry Values and Plan.
A confident, inclusive communicator who has strong leadership skills to deliver results within challenging circumstances whilst maintaining a positive outlook. You should also have demonstrable experience in managing in a Financial Assessments environment and be able to produce reports, data and information for a variety of purposes and audiences.
The role will offer opportunities to further develop your knowledge and expertise with support for learning, study and undertaking training to enhance this.
