Description:

The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will be a part of our Accounting Department assisting with the evaluation and preparation of financial data as well as key initiatives to improve business performance. You will use your strong accounting and financial analytic skills to support monthly close and general accounting. Further, you will be a key support to the CFO, Controller, and Sr. FP&A Analyst on both strategic and operational financial analytical projects. As a member of a detail-oriented team in an ever-evolving environment, we both encourage and require your candid feedback; and will foster your existing ownership mentality and commitment to continuous improvement to perpetually enhance our internal efficiency. This position will require a high degree of both confidentiality and professionalism.
The Financial Analyst FP&A will own the forecasting and budgeting process, working closely with senior management teams and others who drive the business. This position requires collaborating with leaders throughout the organization to support strategic planning initiatives and drive informed, positive decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related function required.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in business analytics or related (e.g. financial analysis).
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access is required.
  • Strong Mathematical Skills- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, weights, margins, and costs. The ideal candidate must have the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Good understanding of financial statements and Ratio’s.
  • Good Analytical Skills.
  • Prepare Financial Dashboards and provide key financial insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze monthly financial reports, provide forecasting support, and prepare various reports.
  • Translate financial and cost data into actionable information for management decisions.
  • Compute and analyze weekly/monthly costs (Gross Margin, operational costs) and identify variances.
  • Assist in all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Provide financial support for management decisions, cost savings, and improvements.
  • Develop and monitor financial metrics and tracking systems.
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in the SAP system.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient material movement.
  • Review and update standard operating procedures.
