QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Fund Accountant in hedge fund environments
• CPA or equivalent professional certification
• Strong understanding of hedge fund operations and financial markets
• Strong understanding of Australian and US Compliance requirements
• Strong knowledge of Australian Tax for both corporate and Australian unit trusts
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic setting

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our FinTech team on a part-time basis. You’ll manage Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) for major US Hedge Funds, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Tier 1 US Hedge Funds, Prime Brokers, and leading international financial institutions
• Ensure compliance with US and Australian regulatory requirements (NFA, AFSL, AUSTRAC, Annual Audits, etc.)
• Assist in set up and operation of offshore SMAs and Australian Unit Trusts
• Apply Australian Corporate Accounting standards
• Managing outsource book-keeper and other service providers
