JOB SUMMARY:

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial management. This role involves managing the finance team, developing financial strategies, and providing valuable insights to support executive decision-making. The Financial Controller will play a key role in budget management, financial forecasting, and auditing processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or CPA/CMA designation is preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide valuable insights.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls that comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data by performing regular audits and reviews.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.
  • Oversee the treasury function, including cash flow management, investment strategies, and banking relationships.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
