DESIGNATION : Financial Controller

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Qualified ACCA or ACA with a strong background in financial accounting and control.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, financial consolidations, and tax regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing payables/receivables, bookkeeping, payments, cash flow forecasting, and banking.
  • Experience in financial reporting and budget preparation.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams and with senior leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes, with a proactive approach to improving systems and controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Oracle, Sage, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to be based in London, UK. The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACCA or ACA professional with experience working in a top 4 firm. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of financial control, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, and managing a range of critical financial processes. This role requires strong knowledge of IFRS, consolidations, and tax, as well as a deep understanding of operational finance, including payables/receivables, bookkeeping, payments, cash flow forecasting, banking, budgeting and financial technology applications and software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bookkeeping.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with IFRS.
  • Lead and manage financial consolidations across the group, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of consolidated accounts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts and budgeting models.
  • Manage and optimize banking relationships, including cash management and payment processing.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, liaising with external tax advisors as needed.
  • Drive improvements in financial controls and processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, projects, and strategic decision-making.
