Description:
FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Team: Finance
Reports to: Head of Finance
Location: Manchester, 111 Piccadilly, M1 2HY
Hybrid working: circa 60% at home & 40% in the office (working from the office full time during probation)
Hours: Part time; approx 29hrs
Planned start date: A.S.A.P.
Salary: Band D; from £45,000 FTE

We are seeking a fully qualified, hands-on, Financial Controller. The ideal candidate is adept at financial management but is also enthusiastic about actively engaging in the day-to-day operations of a finance function; perhaps taking their first step into a leadership role from Management Accountant.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
- Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
- Experience of partially exempt VAT
- Experience of Financial Services (Investment Management and/or Wealth Planning) preferred

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of relevant, accurate and timely, monthly management accounts
- Preparation of annual budgets and HY reforecasts, including cash flows and FCA requirement considerations
- Ensure all reporting requirements are met, whether statutory or regulatory:
- Review and upload regulatory returns to the FCAs RegData system
- Review and submission of (partially exempt) VAT returns
- Scenario modelling for the preparation of the ICARA and liquidity risk management frameworks
- Point of contact for the Groups auditors, insurance brokers, etc
- Supervise and mentor a Finance team of three, providing guidance and support in their day-to-day activities
- Deputise for the Head of Finance when necessary
- Other ad-hoc projects which may arise as directed by the Head of Finance
