Description:
McBreen Group have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and , results-oriented experienced Financial Controller to join our Finance team. This is an ideal opportunity to work for a growing organisation, who is seeking to expand its presence in both the Irish and UK market.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Financial Controller who is a committed individual, who can work in a fast-paced environment who can adhere to strict financial reporting deadlines. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the month end process, along with reviewing the Balance Sheet reconciliations. In addition, they will prepare the consolidated results for sign off across the Irish & UK entities and will provide insights into the monthly financial reporting process regarding the variances in financial reporting results to budget. You will co-ordinate and collate the board reports for each company for review by the Managing Director.
In this varied role, you will play a “hands-on” part in managing both the day-to-day activities for the finance function.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Preparation of Financial and Management Information for all operational activities across the group entities
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, to include variance analysis.
Liaising with Auditors and other external stakeholders.
Monitor the accuracy, completeness and integrity of the financial reporting across the group
Support Strategic Growth and tracking performance
Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting for the organization
The role may include travel to the UK to oversee group finance activities.
Responsibility for Tax Compliance
Your Profile
You will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a financial controller or similar role.
You will have strong technical skills and a proven ability to lead from the front and develop teams.
You will have extensive experience in managing a team and will have strong organisational and communications skills and the ability to interact effectively across all levels within the organisation.
You will be self-motivative and proactive individual who excels working in a team environment.
