Description:
About the role
As a Financial Controller at Cropster, you will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and financial controlling processes of the company. You will be supervised by our CFO and responsible for carrying out and maintaining financial frameworks and structures while overseeing day-to-day financial and reporting activities. You will work closely with our Accounting team and with our Data Analyst to ensure all relevant financial data is captured in our accounting system and Business Intelligence tool. We have offices in Innsbruck and Vienna but are open to discussing remote setups too.
What you’ll do
- Prepare combined financial reports for all Cropster entities, including Cropster GmbH and Cropster Inc.
- Assist in the budgeting/ forecasting process by providing a data collection structure for the team to consolidate into a central budget.
- Drive improvements in the daily processes around financial planning, reporting and analytics, including the implementation of relevant supporting systems solutions.
- Collect and manage data across all relevant financial systems, ensuring alignment and reconciliation.
- Regularly report, review and analyze financial and operational key metrics together with various internal stakeholders.
- Provide support for asset procurement, such as evaluating and negotiating supplier contracts (in collaboration with the Administration team).
We are looking for someone with
- Proficiency in utilizing BI and FP&A tools to extract insights from complex data sets.
- Experience in creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Advanced skills in Excel/ Google Spreadsheet for data analysis, financial modeling, and creating complex spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in financial reporting, data analysis, and compliance with regulations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely to various stakeholders, including non-financial personnel.
- Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing business environments and embrace new technologies and tools

- Experience in working with APIs to integrate financial systems and automate data flows between different platforms
