Our client, a leading non-for-profit organisation seeks a Financial Controller for a 3-month contract role based in inner southeastern suburb of Perth.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Financial Controller, you will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic advice. You will be pivotal in ensuring compliance, enhancing financial literacy across the organisation, and driving continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare monthly management and board reports using Xero and related systems.
• Lead and mentor a finance team, including Payroll, AR/AP, and Management Accounting.
• Manage statutory reporting, including ACNC requirements and Annual Financial Statements.
• Oversee tax compliance (BAS, PAYG, GST, FBT) and funding body financial reporting.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, donors, and government bodies.
• Develop and improve financial systems, processes, and documentation.
• Educate managers on financial management and budget responsibilities.
