JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for directing an SBU´s Finance and Controlling functions including development and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems, analysis and interpretation of trends, preparation of financial and management reports and procedures and recommendations to senior management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years’ experience in Finance / controlling in international environments that operate within similar industries (preferably in a global manufacturing organization)
  • Degree in Economics or Business Administration, MBA preferable Excellent IT application skills including Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Proficient in SAP (additional Hyperion experience beneficial)

TRAVEL & WORK ARRANGEMENTS/REQUIREMENTS

Occasional business trips are possible.
The position is mainly based in Nuremberg, but there is also the possibility of working from home on a daily basis in consultation with the line manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting and accounting as per regulatory and legal requirements (internal / external)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual balance sheet account analysis in accordance with company policies and accounting regulations (US GAAP and German GAAP).
  • Various tasks in connection with monthly, quarterly and annual close.
  • Interface with internal and external auditors on SOX compliance and documentation
  • Prepares daily/weekly/monthly operations reports which may include labor, financial and plant performance, absorption models and cost analysis.
  • Projects, analyzes and reports all activities that financially impact the plant.
  • Preparation and monitoring of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly bridges for the Company.
  • Oversees Plant controlling and Sales controlling
  • Reviews costs for ETO projects on a monthly basis and conducts final cost reviews after project completion.
  • Supports Engineering, Sales and Project Management for accounting and costing issues related to ETO Projects and Aftermarket business.
  • Conducts calculation of percentage of completion revenue at month end
  • Supervises and reviews the annual physical inventory and related reconciliations, and reports on performance variances incurred by the plant. Interface with Internal and external auditors on count results and follow ups.
  • Supervises the annual costing run, the creation of new cost estimates and the maintenance of costing views of the material master’s during the year in SAP as well as ongoing analyses of purchase price variances
  • Working on financials for MLB
  • Providing the analytical basis for strategic decisions and measure
  • Financial staff management (currently 2 staff) plus coordination with Accounting Shared Service Centre in Brno
  • Contributing to strategic planning and development as a member of executive team, reports to Managing Director
  • Coordination of the necessary activities to fulfill the monthly revenue targets and annual earnings targets
  • Take the lead in projects with regard to administrative as well as operative processes
  • Other responsibilities as assigned or required
