FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Brant Mutual Insurance Company is seeking an experienced finance professional who will be a key contributor and
support to the organization and our leadership team. The Controller reports to the President/CEO and is responsible
for providing the company with effective and timely financial management and analysis.
You will be responsible for implementing strategy, budgeting and financial and regulatory reporting as well as the
overall management and day-to-day operations of the Finance Department in accordance with company policies and
procedures. You will regularly offer the CEO, Board of Directors and additional key stakeholders with advice and
perspective on how the company can meet or exceed its’ financial goals.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with the skills to anticipate problems and provide forward
thinking solutions. You have a demonstrated ability for building strong relationships with external service providers,
agents/brokers and all internal stakeholders. You are a self-starter with a strong work ethic, have a collaborative
approach in developing strategies and action plans that achieve company and department objectives.
You should have an accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) in good standing, preferably a
Business/Commerce/Administration degree/diploma and a minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience. The
incumbent needs strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities. Candidates should ideally have a background
in P & C insurance and experience within the Mutual insurance industry would be a definite asset.
