QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Qualified accountant with at least four years post qualification experience
- Technical knowledge of Irish GAAP / IFRS
- Experience of an engineering and manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience of recording and reporting contract/project revenue and margin
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, good experience of financial/ERP systems (implementation experience ideally).

Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We now have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the CFO, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Financial Controller who has a passion for being involved in all aspects of financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting, manufacturing and shop floor reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a senior role within the Prodieco business, helping drive the planned profit and cash growth, through clear, accurate, reliable financial/performance reporting.
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Manage a team of four individuals in their daily tasks, including a remote team in Poland
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements in compliance with local GAAP, driving improvements in timing of month-end closing.
- Provide relevant and clear commentaries on financial and operational performance, variance reporting and early warning of issues.
- Responsible for all aspects of cash management including forecasting.
- Monitor and control cost base, direct and indirect, highlighting opportunities for efficiency and productivity improvements.
- Responsible for quarterly reporting of the Group performance to investors and lenders, including covenant compliance certificates.
- With the Financial Accountant, responsibility for the year-end external audit including preparation of audit files and ensuring timely annual reporting to all stakeholders
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls, working with Financial Accountant to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and regular financial forecasts as required and report variances. Exception reporting on KPIs including all relevant shop floor data.
- Preparation of business cases to support investments as appropriate.
- Assisting and providing support with the integration of acquisitions into the Group
