Description:

Function- Managing Finance Function

  • Financial Planning and accounting practices
  • To provide accurate and up to date financial information.
  • Managing relationships with shareholders, lending institutions, and the financial community

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and implement effective Financial Systems and Internal Controls.
  • Lead and manage a performance culture and deliverables in the finance function
  • Be aware of the financial risks of the organisation to ensure that it remains sustainable
  • Contribute to the company’s business planning and monitor through on-going reporting, analysis and discussion of relevant information
  • Ensure that the company operates within the law and complies fully with corporate and employment legislation
  • Manage all regulatory compliance
  • Represent the company externally as required
  • Develop a customer-oriented culture, ensuring that the Finance team support and prioritise the needs of the front-line business
  • Ensure the team has the tools, applications, infrastructure and support to do their work effectively
  • Annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting across all profit & cost centres including cash flows
  • Corporate reporting
  • Annual preparation of financial statements (including consolidation) for audit
  • CAPEX projects – Approval, monitoring & controlling
  • Taxation (Corporation, VAT, PAYE & others)

Person Specification- Qualified accountant with a relevant post qualification experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of reporting at a senior finance level i.e. senior accounting or existing FC
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in contracting, negotiating, and change management
  • Demonstrates abilities in capital, inventory and cash control, systems and process development and forecasting
  • Experience working with multi-national financial obligations
  • Good interpersonal skills
